Alice is Ralph's patient but witty and sharp-tongued wife. She is the often target
of Ralph's insults. She deals with them with great sarcasm. Alice is practical and
level-headed in stark contrast to Ralph's get-rich-quick personality. Most of the
time, Alice tries to point out the flaws in Ralph's schemes but he becomes angry
and ignores her. By the end of the epiode, Ralph always comes to realize that
Alice was indded correct.
Alice is accustomed to Ralph's most common hollow threats:
"... one of these days ... Pow! Right in the kisser!"
". . . bang, zoom, straight to the Moon!"
Alice studied to be a secretary before her marriage to Ralph. In one
episode she works in that capacity when Ralph loses his job as a bus driver.
Another source of contention between Alice and Ralph is Alice's mother. She is even more sarcastic
than Alice. She hates ralph and thinks he is a bad provider. Alice's father is mentioned
a few times, but never shown. Alice has a sister named Agnes, who appears in one episode
