Alice about the plot to get the promotion and then back out of the
golf match, which is a month away. There is a knock at the door, and

club. After two swings that miss, Norton brings out a book that
explains the proper techniques for hitting a golf ball. Several
missed swings later, Ralph is ready to quit. Norton gives him a pep
talk and they are back to learning. Norton decides to show ralph how
to hit the ball, but he swings and misses too. Alice comes home to

to use common sense to talk Ralph out of playing golf with Mr.
Harper, but Ralph will not give in.
The final scene is again in the Kramden apartment. Ralph is upset
because he did not listed to Alice and he has to play golf this
afternoon with Mr. Harper. Ralph admits that he has a big mouth and
that he will never brag again. There is a knock on the door, and it
is the vice-president of Gotham Bus Company. He has come to tell
Ralph that Mr. Harper hurt his foot and is in the hospital. Ralph is
overjoyed at getting out of the golf match, and he immediately starts
to tell the vice-president how disappointed that he is. According to
Ralph, he was going to show Mr. Harper a thing or two about the game.

partner this Sunday and would love to have Ralph join him.
