a doctor, and they he thought the sleepwalking was being caused as a
result of being nervous and upset. Ralph reenters the apartment
through the fire escape. He is upset because Norotn did not lose any
sleep through the ordeal, but he has. As Trixie is leaving, Ralph
gives her tacks to spread on their floor and fire escape. He says
that the tacks will put an end to Norton's sleepwalking. After
Trixie leaves, Ralph insists that he is done chasing after a
sleepwalking Norton. Ralph grows more upset and begins to yell.

sleeping. Norton walking into the apartment and asks Ralph to have
consideration for the people who are sleeping, and accuses Ralph of
waking HIM out of a deep sleep!

bed, but Ralph does not want to. He says that as soon as he gets to
sleep, Norton will be sleepwalking. Alice tells Ralph that Trixie
tied a bell around Norton's wrist so that it will wake her up when he
starts to sleepwalk. Trixie enters the apartment and tells the
Kramdens that Ed is fast asleep. Both Ralph and Alice are being
sympathetic to Trixie because she has not slept for three days. Both
Alice and Ralph offer any help in any way that they can. Alice
suggests that Trixie stay with Alice and Ralph stay in the Norton's
apartment with Ed. As they are arguing over this suggestion, they
hear a bell ringing. All three of them realize that Norton is
sleepwalking. Alice opens the apartment door, and in comes Norton.
He does a circle around the kitchen and walks out. Disgusted, ralph
follows norton out the door.

eating some fruit and popcorn. Ralph puts the bell on Norton's wrist,

ringing and keeps Ralph awake. The two finally get to sleep at
11:45pm

sleepwalk. Ed takes the key, which is under Ralph's pillow and
unlocks the door. The scene cuts to Ralph sitting on the bed with an
awake Norton pacing back and forth in front of him. Ralph has called
the doctor to come examine norton. When the doctor arrives, he says
that Norton is sleepwalking because he is in search of something. He
thinks that if he gives Ed pentathol (truth serum), then Norton might
tell them what he is searching for. If that is known, then they can
provide what is searching for, and hopefully stop sleepwalking. After
administering the shot, Norton starts talking about Lulu. Lulu turns
out to be a dog that he had growing up. Ralph insists that if they
get him Ed a dog, he will stop sleepwalking.
